Attendance Procedures

To report an absence please call 606-4702 option 2 or provide a note from a parent/guardian upon the student's return.  

If students arrive to school after their school day begins, they must come to the office and sign in. 

Students who are tardy to school must report to the office. Arriving late to school due to a medical appointment or being sick is excused with a parent/guardian or doctor's note. Tardies accumulate per trimester and students start anew each trimester. The tardy policy is as follows:

• First and second unexcused tardies result in a warning.
• Third or more unexcused tardies result in 30 minutes of detention per tardy.

Parents will be called when the student needs to serve the detention.  All other class tardies are handled by the classroom teacher, usually by the assignment of class detention.

This means that students entering or leaving campus (other than the beginning and end of the school day) must be signed in/out by a parent/guardian.

Perfect Attendance Awards will be awarded to students at the end of the school year who have no missed periods and no tardies during the school year.
